As president and an owner of AlliedPRA Destination Management Atlanta, Amy has a passion for the diversity and excitement of Atlanta, Georgia.  She readily shares her enthusiasm and in-depth destination knowledge with clients who are considering Atlanta for their next meeting, convention or incentive travel program.

Originally, from Homestead, Florida, she graduated cum laude in 1985 from the College of Business at Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Administration. During college she enjoyed being a member of the Florida State Marching Chiefs where she played clarinet. Following college, Amy spent eight years in the private club industry planning weddings, meetings, golf tournaments and events.  During her time in the Club industry she earned her CCM (Certified Club Manager) designation.

From 1994 to 1996, Amy became a partner Georgia Always Productions, a special event company. In this capacity, she was very involved in promoting Atlanta to visitors during the 1996 Centennial Summer Olympic Games and was named as one of the AT&T 100, an award given to the most valuable contributors to the Games while assisting AT&T with their sponsorship efforts.

Prior to opening PRA Atlanta, Amy was a managing partner and vice president of client services for Meeting Expectations, an Atlanta-based meeting and association management company. In addition to her responsibility to ensure overall client satisfaction, she was responsible for conference and meeting-related activities, such as conference team management, event planning and management logistics. Amy has held a variety of positions at Meeting Expectations, including senior conference manager, director of meeting and client services, vice-president client services and managing partner.

Amy is currently a member of the Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME), on the Board and Communication Chair for SITE, the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), and is a Hospitality partner for Financial Insurance Conference Planners (FICP) where she serves on the Design Committee for the FICP Southeast Forum.

Past volunteer leadership positions include treasurer of ADME’s Certification and Accreditation Board (CAB), Program and Education Committee for SITE, President of the Society of Hosts, Florida State University’s Alumni Association for Hospitality School, ACVB Membership Committee, and Secretary and then Vice-President Education for the Hospitality and Sales Marketing Association International (HSMAI)

Amy is also a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and a Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP),

FUN FACT:  Amy loves to golf and is a Ladies Overseas Member of the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England.
